‘Qunk’ keeps the tempo and energy of Satyr’s release high with endlessly stuttering drum hits and a broad selection of snatched vocals. Showing further cross-pollination of references, the heavy resonance of the bass synth is reminiscent of UK Funky productions whilst the drum arrangements nod subtly to Durban’s Gqom scene.
